Gionna Jene Daddio was born on June 8th, 1994 in the city of Morristown, in the state of New Jersey. She spent her childhood in the neighboring town of Elmwood Park, New Jersey. On the edition of NXT that aired on January 13, 2016, Carmella emerged victorious in a battle royal to become the top challenger for Bayley’s NXT Women’s Championship. Morgan was one of the competitors in the battle royal.

On the broadcast of NXT that aired on August 31, Morgan defeated Aliyah to get her first victory in a televised singles match.

Later on, she started a feud with The Iconic Duo, who consisted of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. After one of her matches, both of them confronted her, which led to a match between Morgan and Kay two weeks later, which Kay won with the help of Royce. Morgan lost the match. After that, she faced off against Royce on the episode of NXT that aired on November 16, which resulted in Royce receiving a disqualification after Kay interfered in the match and attacked Morgan and Aliyah before Ember Moon came to their rescue. On the edition of NXT that aired on November 23, the three participated in a six-person tag team match against Kay, Royce, and Daria Berenato. The bout was won by Morgan’s side.

During the episode of SmackDown Live that aired on November 21, 2017, Morgan made her debut on the main roster alongside Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan. Together, the three of them attacked Becky Lynch and Naomi, thereby defining themselves as heels in the process. On the same night, they attacked both Charlotte Flair and Natalya after interrupting a match in which Charlotte Flair was defending her title as SmackDown Women’s Champion against Natalya. The next week on SmackDown Live, the three women made their in-ring debuts for the brand. They defeated Flair, Naomi, and Natalya in a six-woman tag team match.

Their new moniker for the group is “The Riott Squad.” Morgan was the eleventh woman to enter the first women’s Royal Rumble match, which took place on January 28, 2018, at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. However, she was the first woman to be eliminated from the match by Michelle McCool. WrestleMania 34 took place on April 8, and Morgan made her WrestleMania debut by competing in the 20-woman WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.
