Former soccer player Kiyomi Cook was a member of the Barlow High School team, where she played the midfield position. In addition to that, she was chosen for both the first team of the all-conference and the second team of the all-state in 2008.

Cook was a member of teams that won a total of six Oregon State Cups, including three with THUSC Neon and three with Eastside United, a youth club. Tom Atencio was her coach for the entire season.

During the USYSA Far West Club Championships, she competed in the quarterfinals three times and the semifinals once. Kiyomi’s Oregon Developmental Program (ODP) career was also very successful in 1993 when she was a member of the Oregon girls’ team. In 2009, she was selected for the ODP team representing Region IV. In addition to that, she was extended an offer to attend the National ID2 Camp in 2007.

In 2011, as a freshman, she played in a total of 15 games and started a freshman-high 13 of those games. During the course of the season, she only took four shots, but what’s more important is that she recorded one assist in a matchup against UC Davis, a match in which she also played the complete ninety minutes. Cook got injured during the end of the 2011 season and was unable to play for the remaining five games. He finished the year having played 838 minutes.

As a sophomore in 2012, the football player continued to play for the Ducks in a total of six games, making his debut in two of those contests and playing the entirety of the matchup versus Pacific (September 7). On September 7, Cook competed against Pacific for a total of 246 minutes and had a total of two shots, one of which was on goal.

Finally, she made a name for herself by playing as a junior in 2013 and a senior in 2014, respectively, and earning a lot of recognition.
