‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 premieres Feb. 16 on HBO and Max.
Buckle up. HBO is inviting audiences to another season of The White Lotus.
On Jan. 27, the network dropped a trailer for season 3 of the show, which sees a new batch of rich and dysfunctional guests checking in to a luxury resort in Thailand. But this won’t be just any vacation. “At the end of the week, you will be an entirely different person,” a hotel employee promises the arriving guests.
Sounds ominous.
“Go big or go home,” one character says in the teaser.
“In a goddamn body bag,” chimes in season 1’s spa manager Belinda (Natasha Rothwell), who has traveled to Thailand to perfect her skills as a massage therapist so she “bring the magic back to Maui.”
Once again, The White Lotus features a stacked cast, including Parker Posey and Jason Isaacs as a wealthy couple (at least for now) on vacation with their three children. Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, and Leslie Bibb are a trio of longtime (“not old”) friends on a girls’ trip together. Walton Goggins plays one half of a May-December couple whom the trailer hints has come to Thailand because he’s “either hiding from someone or looking for someone.”
The rest of the clip teases marital strife, friendship drama, a brazen robbery, gunshots, and – of course – a body bag.
“What happens in Thailand stays in Thailand,” Monaghan’s character, Jaclyn, tells her friends.
“What does that mean?” Kate (Bibb) says.
“It means we’re not dead yet,” Jaclyn replies
The White Lotus Season 3 premieres Sunday, Feb. 16 on HBO. Episodes also stream on Max.
