Former Carlton player Anthony Koutoufides is expected to formally launch his candidacy in the coming federal election this weekend.

The seat has been held by Greens leader Adam Bandt since 2010 and has a current margin of 10.2 per cent.

“I believe I can (win) otherwise I wouldn’t run,” Koutoufides told The Age.

“I know there’s going to be doubters out there, but I love that.”
