A man has been arrested after a woman was allegedly set on fire south-east of Brisbane.

Emergency services were called to a home on Kingston Court in Kingston about 7.45am today over reports of a domestic violence disturbance.

There, they found a woman aged in her 30s with burns to her body.

The woman was rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition. (Nine)

She was treated at the scene before being rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Police have launched an attempted murder investigation and have taken a 36-year-old man into custody.

The man and woman are known to each other, police said. 

A crime scene has been established at the home.

Additional crime scenes have been set up at Gould Adams Park on Kingston Road and the Kingston Train Station.
