Cam Newton jumps onto moving helicopter from speeding boat in wild reality show stunt

Cam Newton was known to dazzle on the field during his playing days, but he took it to new heights on the new season of the Fox reality show competition, “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”

The season premiere episodes saw Newton take flight in one challenge that has gone viral on social media as the former NFL quarterback leaped from a moving boat onto a helicopter.

Newton was able to grab a hold of the helicopter’s landing skid and pull himself into the chopper, impressing his fellow contestants in the process.

Fellow contestant Stephen Baldwin said in the clip, “You see that? Pressed himself up on a helicopter.”

Newton is one of 16 contestants taking part in the third season of the show.

The show puts the celebrities through military training style competitions and a number of contestants are former athletes.

The other contestants include former NFL receiver Golden Tate, former Olympic swimmer Nathan Adrian, surfer Alana Blanchard, soccer star Landon Donovan, motorsports legend Carey Hart, former track and field star Marion Jones and former Olympic gymnast Jordyn Wieber.

Also among the competitors is influencer Kayla Nicole, who had previously dated Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce.

Newton played 11 seasons in the NFL, 10 of which were spent with the Panthers and one with the Patriots.

Newton was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in 2011 by Carolina and led them to a Super Bowl appearance in 2016 when they lost to the Broncos 24-10.

The QB took home NFL MVP honors for the 2015 season and was named to the Pro Bowl three times over the course of his career.

Newton hasn’t officially retired, but he has not suited up in an NFL game since 2022.

He appeared in eight games in his final NFL season – five of which he started – and completed 69 passes for 684 yards and four touchdown passes.
