Ms Wildenstein was among the world’s wealthiest people and had over a million Instagram followers.
A photo of her in Paris from two weeks ago showed her and partner Lloyd Klein enjoying a night out together.
The pair stepped out together at The Ritz for a glamorous meal.
Mr Klein could be seen holding a small white shopping bag from designer brand Guerlain.
The broken-hearted boyfriend today told the AFP News Agency that his fiancee had died due to a pulmonary embolism today.
Ms Wildenstein was particularly known for undergoing extensive plastic surgery.
Her feline appearance as a result earned her the moniker of “Catwoman”.
However, she has previously denied ever having plastic surgery, or having a surgery addiction, but had vowed she wouldn’t stop going under the knife.
In 2023, she posted a photo of herself as a teenager as “proof” she always had high features, accusing people of photoshopping her to look worse.
The self-professed art dealer shot to fame in the late ’90s when she divorced French billionaire Alec Wildenstein.
They had been married for 21 years until she caught him in bed with a model at their New York home.
Mr Wildenstein even spent a night in jail after threatening her with a gun during a heated row.
The resulting £2 billion divorce settlement set records in the US and propelled Ms Wildenstein into the limelight.
She has been with Mr Klein since 2003 and the couple got engaged in 2017.
Her huge 32-carat diamond engagement ring was said to be worth millions and was kept under guard when she wasn’t wearing it.
