Beverly Hills Doctor Rapes Female Employee, Police Say More Victims Possible

A Beverly Hills doctor allegedly drugged and raped a female employee, and police believe there may be additional victims.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Dr. Babak Hajhossein lured potential victims by offering high hourly wages to work at his office. He’s now facing multiple charges of rape after a staff member told police last week that he sexually assaulted her inside his residence.

“Though he is charged with assaulting a single victim, investigators believe there are other victims who have yet to come forward,” the LAPD said.

Police said he’leveraged his status in the medical field, as founder of the Wound & Burn Centers of America and a visiting specialist at Catalina Island Health, to exploit his victims.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Hajhossein allegedly recruited potential victims through job websites, and after hiring them, he allegedly coerced them into working overtime at his home.

The charges are based on allegations from one person at this time, but police are asking any additional victims to contact them at (213) 473-0447.

The investigation continues. Check back for updates.
