Shocking footage has emerged of a 4WD motorist’s feet hanging out the window while driving along with a busy highway with just one hand on the steering wheel.
Filmed by a passing motorist, the clip showed the man behind the wheel with his legs placed on top of the side view mirror.
The video shared to Facebook this week also showed the driver’s left hand resting on top of the seat while leaning his head back.
The reckless road act sparked fury from dozens of viewers who slammed irresponsible act and labelled the driver a ‘moron’.
‘How can he brake in an emergency? Risking not only himself but others on the road. Disgusting,’ one woman commented.
Another added: ‘What a complete and utter idiot.’
Others said the selfish act would lead to ‘an instant mess in an accident.’

The latest incident comes after a young woman was pulled over by police in for a similar act in South Australia earlier this month.
Charlotte Nicholls placed her arm outside the window while driving along a road.
She managed to avoid a $323 fine and was instead let off with a warning.
She told Yahoo that she ‘had no idea it was illegal’.
Motorists and passengers travelling in a moving vehicle in Australia must keep parts of their body inside at all times.

Drivers caught breaking the rule in NSW are slapped with $337 fines and three demerit points.
The offence carries a $268 fine and three demerits in Queensland while the fine is $141 in Victoria.
The penalty for the offence in South Australia is a $205 fine, three demerits and pay a $94 Victims of Crime levy.
The penalties handed for the infringement in Tasmania and Western Australia are less severe.
Drivers in Tasmania will be handed a $135.75 fine while motorists in WA will be given a $50 fine and a demerit point for the offence.
In addition to having all parts of their body inside a moving vehicle, drivers and passengers must always wear a seatbelt.
Motorists must adjust their seat appropriately and avoid distractions such as mobile phones and other electronic devices.
