‘Today, I’m going to commit a crime’: Man stabbed shopper in neck with scissors inside Target bathroom on Black Friday, police say

A 43-year-old man in Texas has been arrested and accused of nearly killing a new father who was shopping for his infant son on Black Friday, allegedly stabbing the victim in the neck with a pair of scissors inside of a Target bathroom.

Robert Weldon Fields was taken into custody on Monday and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the attack on Angel Perez Luna, records reviewed by Law&Crime show. Officers with the Dallas Police Department at about 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, responded to a Dallas-area Target store in 2400 block of South Haskell Avenue regarding a reported stabbing, Dallas Fox affiliate KDFW reported. First responders located the victim inside of the store and immediately transported him to Baylor Scott & White Hospital for treatment.
