Investigation launched after worker crushed in Melbourne's southeast

Authorities are investigating after a man died in a workplace incident on the outskirts of Melbourne this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a site in Pakenham about 1.20pm, where a man was found dead in the back of a truck.

9News understands the man, who is yet to be formally identified, was crushed.

Worksafe investigators are on scene to investigate.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
