PICTURED: Suspected Shooter Spotted Minutes Before UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s Slaying

New York police released surveillance images of the suspect who they believe fatally shot UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on Wednesday.

According to CNN, a law enforcement official said the photos of the masked suspect at a nearby Starbucks about 20 minutes before Thompson, 50, was fatally shot in downtown Manhattan. Thompson was from Minnesota but was visiting New York for the insurance company’s annual investors conference, as CrimeOnline previously reported.

A source told CNN that UnitedHealthcare was aware of threats made before Wednesday’s shooting. While the threats did not mention names, they reportedly suggested that high-ranking officials would be targeted.

But Thompson left his hotel, across the street from the Hilton, where the conference was being held, alone and without any type of security detail.

The suspect fled the scene of the shooting on foot and then on a bicycle.

The NYPD is offering up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
