Model Kills Husband in Florida Highrise Murder-Suicide

A one-time New York model shot her husband to death on a Florida balcony on Wednesday and then turned the gun on herself.

The Hallandale Beach Police Department said they were alerted to a highrise apartment complex when a ShotSpotter recorded five shots in quick succession, followed by a short pause and then a sixth shot, WPLG reported.

They arrived to find Sabrina Krasniqi, 27, and Pajtim Krasniqi, 34, dead on the balcony.

The Albanian-American couple previously lived in New York, where Sabrina Krasniqi apparently had a career as a model. As Sabrina Dzaferovic, she appeared in an Inside Edition report in 2021 about being catcalled. She also had a Backstage profile with headshots and other photographs.

It’s not clear what led to the shooting. Neighbors said they were shocked and that they saw no signs of trouble. Pajtim Krasniqi’s sister, however, wrote a blistering post on Facebook saying the wife “betrayed him, his love and his trust.”

“She shattered my family. My siblings and I will never be the same,” wrote Albana Krasniqi Munrett. “I’m terrified my mother will not ever recover.”

In a statement provided to WPLG, the family said that Pajtim Krasniqi survived a motorcycle accident in 2018 and refused doctors recommendations that he have his leg amputated and also refused to take pain medications despite multiple surgeries over the years.
