Six firefighters are in hospital after their truck rolled on the NSW Mid North Coast.

A Rural Fire Service crew was responding to reports of an electrical fire in a structure at Kundle Kundle, north-east of Taree, this afternoon when the truck they were in left the road and rolled.

Six men and women aged between 19 and 45 were in the vehicle at the time.

The most seriously injured, one of the men, suffered a broken arm, leg, shoulder and head injuries.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.

His injuries are not considered life threatening.

The other five suffered back and head injuries and are stable in hospital.

Police are now investigating the circumstances of this incident.
