Former Sheriff Pleads Guilty to Child and Animal Pornography Possession

On Friday, court records revealed that guilty and no contest pleas were entered regarding charges of possession of child pornography, child sexual exploitation, and bestiality against a former Racine County, Wisconsin, sheriff’s deputy.

According to Fox 6, Preston Kite, 37, of Racine, was charged with two misdemeanors and 45 felonies in February 2024.

The investigation into Kite began following a criminal complaint filed on February 8, concerning a sexual encounter with a man Kite had messaged to meet in a truck stop restroom. Kite was allegedly in uniform and touching himself when the man entered the restroom.

During the investigation, child sex videos were discovered on Kite’s personal cellphone. Additionally, sexual videos involving children that had been texted between Kite and another man were also found. Some of the child pornography depicted violent sexual acts against minors.

Later in February, a second complaint was filed after a search of Kite’s iPad allegedly revealed videos of bestiality pornography. In Kite’s text messages, he discussed having sexual contact with a cow and a dog. The videos showed interactions between a man and a horse, as well as another man and a dog.

During the investigation, police learned that in January, Kite had babysat a 9-year-old child. When questioned, the child reported to detectives that something “weird” happened while Kite was watching them. The child was asked to bring Kite toilet paper, during which they saw Kite’s genitalia, according to the complaint.

Kite is scheduled for sentencing in February 2025.
