Teen Boy Found Dead 90 Miles From Where He Disappeared a Week Ago

A 16-year-old Ohio boy missing since November 12 has been found dead a two-hour drive across the state from his home.

Mansfield Police asked for the public’s help finding Trentin Isaac on Monday. But on Tuesday, Mansfield Police Chief Jason Bammann told the Richland Source that the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office notified investigators they’d found a body matching Isaac’s description, and by Monday night the Cuyohoga County Coroner’s Office had identified the body.

“It is being investigated in Harrison County as a suspicious death,” Bammann said. “We don’t have a lot more to go on at this point. They are processing that scene down there.”

The body was found in a remote section of the county, Bammann said.

On Monday, Mansfield Police said that detectives had “received numerous unverified tips and rumors concerning videos and social media posts allegedly related to Trentin’s disappearance.” But, the the department said, “no such evidence has been submitted.”

The department urged anyone with such information “to come forward immediately.”

“The family and the community can be assured that the division will work diligently to not only answer these questions, but also bring justice to the individuals who committed this act,” Bammann told the Richland Source.
