Cult Leader Charles Manson Admits to Secret Life in Mexico, More Killings

In a newly released phone call, late cult leader Charles Manson confessed to additional murders in Mexico.

DailyMail reports that the the call is part of Peacock’s “Making Manson,” which explores his  life through 20 years of recorded conversations with a friend.

“See, there’s a whole part of my life that nobody knows about,” Manson said, according to BBC

“I lived in Mexico for awhile. I went to Acapulco, stole some cars. I just got involved in stuff over my head, man. Got involved in a couple of killings. I left my .357 Magnum in Mexico City, and I left some dead people on the beach.”

As CrimeOnline previously reported, in the late 1960s and early 70s, Manson led his cult “family” to commit at least nine murders, including the death of pregnant actress Sharon Tate. Manson did not carry out the killings himself; instead, he manipulated his followers to kill.

Arrested in 1969, spent over 40 years in prison before passing away in 2017 at age 83.

The series delves into Manson’s life before he founded his infamous cult family.

The show will feature Manson’s former followers, friends, and journalists in interviews, in addition to showcasing recordings of Manson sharing details about his upbringing.

Manson’s acknowledgment of the Mexico murders is one of first times he took responsibility for any killings.

After  conviction, he repeatedly denied ordering any murders, asserting that the 1969 killings were the work of another mastermind, labeling them as “copycats.”
