Mica Miller: Estranged Husband Delivers ‘Eulogy,’ Claims He Tried to Raise Her From the Dead

The FBI is conducting “court-authorized law enforcement activity” at a residence linked to John-Paul “JP” Miller, a spokesperson for the agency confirmed to ABC 15.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Mica Miller, married to John-Paul, a pastor at Solid Rock Church in The Market Common, died by suicide at Lumber River State Park in Robeson County on April 27.

Following Mica’s death, law enforcement released the 911 call, security footage, and a detailed timeline of the events surrounding her passing.

Mica was in the midst of divorce proceedings with John-Paul at the time of her death.

An affidavit indicated that Mica’s sister, Sierra Francis, filed to become the special administrator of Mica’s estate on May 2, less than a week after her death and four days before the Robeson County Medical Examiner declared her cause of death as suicide.

Sierra stated that Mica endured “abuse and violence” from her husband, John-Paul. Mica suspected that someone was following her and believed John-Paul had hired people to track her movements.

Sierra also reportedly said that John-Paul later corroborated this during a sermon she viewed, as detailed in the affidavit.

In the days following Mica’s death, family, friends, and community members rallied and held memorials to demand “Justice for Mica.”

In June, the attorney for Mica Miller’s family, introduced “Mica’s Law,” also known as the Coercive Control law. Ward described the Coercive Control Bill as addressing behaviors that “dominate, manipulate, and intimidate” individuals in intimate relationships, including threats, humiliation, emotional abuse, and isolation.

Police haven’t arrested or charged John-Paul with any crimes related to Mica’s death.

The story is developing. Check back for updates.
