The week in whoppers: Tim Walz cries out for a mirror, spox Karine Jean-Pierre spins WH clean-up on Aisle Biden and more

Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions

This demand:

“[We must get] away from the name-calling.”

— Tim Walz, Monday

We say: Buy this guy a mirror!

He’s been a non-stop name-calling machine, slamming Elon Musk as a “dips—t,” JD Vance and Donald Trump as “creepy” and  “weird as hell” and the ex-prez as a “loser.”

He compares Trump supporters to Nazis and zips his lips when fellow lefties paint the ex-prez as Hitler, and when President Biden slurs Trump supporters as “garbage.”

Yet now he wants to stop the insult-throwing? Please.

This praise:

“It’s really important that you have a president that cares about clarifying what they said.”

— Karine Jean-Pierre, Wednesday

We say: Clarifying? Biden and the White House weren’t “clarifying” anything when they (falsely) claimed the prez was calling comic Tony Hinchcliffe’s disgusting joke about Puerto Rico “garbage,” not Trump supporters.

No, they were doing damage control — because they knew voters of all stripes would find Biden’s actual words divisive. And a clue showing what many Democrats really think of Republicans.

This warning:

“The stakes literally are life and death for every woman in America.”

— MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace, Monday

We say: Wallace claims her scaremongering about Trump’s plans on abortion is not “hyperbole,” yet Trump isn’t likely to change a thing on the issue.

He wants states to decide the rules and vows to veto a national abortion ban (though there’s zero chance Congress could pass one anyway).

Plus, abortion restrictions in America don’t block medical help if a mother’s life is at risk.

But Wallace has to resort to phony fearmongering because she can’t find anything good to say about the candidate she backs, Kamala Harris.

This report:

“There is an overwhelming call for a fresh start.”

— Kamala Harris, Monday

We say: Finally, the veep is right about something! Americans do want a “fresh start.”

Trouble is, that means electing someone other than Kamala Harris, whose disastrous four-year record is precisely what they’re seeking a change from.
