Accused Delphi Child Killer’s Defense Plans to Persuade Judge Odinist Cult Committed Murders, Trial Looms

The Delphi murders trial continues Monday with DNA evidence as the centerpiece issue.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Richard Allen is charged with four counts of murder in connection with the February 2017 deaths of Abby Williams and Libby German.

The girls vanished near the Monon High Bridge in Carroll Coubty during what was supposed to be a day outing.

Police arrested Allen five years after the murders. He has remained in custody since October 2022.

Last week, Indiana State Police Lt. Jerry Holeman testified about his first interview with Allen and how Allen became agitated and could not account for how a cartridge from his gun was found at the crime scene.

Also last week, Stacy Bozinovski, a forensic scientist for the Indiana State Police, took the witness stand. She told the jury about her qualifications and gave the jury a brief introduction to DNA collection and analysis.

Bozinovski contributed to the DNA evidence and wrote a report in March 2017 that included an examination of the rape kits collected from both girls, FOX 59 reports.

She said no semen was found but she found male DNA on the genital swabs and fingernails, adding that it could come from shared clothing and provided minimal DNA.

No DNA evidence showed that the girls had been sexually assaulted, she testified.

Bozinovski said that hair found in Abby Williams’ hand appeared to belong to Kelsi German Siebert, Libby’s sister. Testing conducted earlier this month confirmed the hair’s origin.

Special Judge Frances Gull announced in court on Monday that there are now 15 jurors—12 on the jury and three alternates.

WTHR repors that a man who left on Friday for a “family emergency” is no longer part of the jury.

The jury is set to view two videos of Allen being interrogated by police in 2022.

The trial continues. Check back for updates.
