Jinger Duggar Has Written Another Book — What to Expect From ‘People Pleaser’

Thanks, I Hate It

Jinger Vuolo recently revealed that Jason Duggar and Maddie Jones opted to have a dance floor and DJ at their wedding. It made for more awkward moments than dance fun, though.

Jinger Vuolo was in Arkansas in August for Jana Duggar’s wedding. In October, she met up with her family in Tennessee to celebrate the marriage of Jason Duggar and Maddie Jones. While both weddings were documented on social media, Jinger is the first Duggar sibling to discuss awkwardness at one of the events. In a recent podcasting episode, Jinger revealed plenty of awkward moments at Jason Duggar’s wedding, thanks to a dance floor and a DJ.

In a recent episode of her podcast, The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast, Jinger revealed that her brother’s wedding featured a dance floor that was completely empty several times during the night. The former reality TV star revealed that the Duggar family and many of Jason’s guests do not dance or do not know how to dance. While the couple opted for a DJ and a dance floor, there was plenty of awkwardness around it. Jinger didn’t reveal if she partook in some dancing to help liven up the crowd, but it seems unlikely.

She said the dance floor would fill up when songs with “instructions” were played. When the music switched, it would quickly clear out. Jeremy chimed in, saying he realized the happy couple had not clued the DJ in on the situation. Jeremy took it upon himself to get involved. He revealed that he let the DJ know that the Duggars don’t dance.

Is Jason Duggar’s wedding the first to feature dancing?

While several Duggar family members appear to enjoy dancing now, they didn’t grow up with the practice. In fact, dancing was so verboten in the Duggar household that Jana Duggar was caught on camera scolding her then-toddler brothers for bopping to the music played inside a store.

Because of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s take on dancing, most Duggar weddings do not include a dance floor. The newlyweds do not have a traditional first dance, nor do guests get to enjoy music. That appears to have changed in more recent years. While most weddings don’t include dancing, at least two have now. Jana Duggar’s August wedding to Stephen Wiseman is one of the first to feature a dance between the bride and groom. It’s possible that Jeremiah Duggar danced with his bride, Hannah Wissmann, at their 2022 nuptials, too, though.
