An 18-year-old grandson didn’t appear to have any emotion at all when appearing in a Kentucky courtroom on Wednesday, the day after he’s accused of beating his 74-year-old grandmother with his fists and a “metal drinking tumbler,” causing “head trauma” so severe that the victim later died at a hospital.

Wyatt Testerman of Independence was arrested Tuesday afternoon outside of a residence on Ridgewood Drive after a reported “dispute between family members” turned into deadly domestic violence. According to the Erlanger Police Department, victim Cheri Oliver was “located in the residence with head trauma” and taken to Cincinnati’s University Hospital with what were then considered “life-threatening injuries.”
