Mets’ Jesse Winker booed mercilessly by Brewers fans in Game 3 after Willy Adames flap

Jesse Winker just might be public enemy No. 1 in the state of Wisconsin.

The Mets designated hitter and outfielder was booed loudly and at length by the American Family Field crowd before his at-bat in the second inning of Game 3 of the NL Wild Card Series against the Brewers.

This comes after his heated verbal exchange with Brewers shortstop Willy Adames in the second inning of Game 1, which stemmed originally from Winker getting plunked by Frankie Montas at the end of the regular season, The Post’s Jon Heyman exclusively reported Thursday.

Winker, in Game 1 of this series, tripled in the second inning and then got into a shouting match with Adames, who then offered to meet the Met in the parking lot after the contest.

According to Heyman, Adames was ready in the parking lot after the game, but Winker — the ex-Brewer — did not oblige.

As for the Thursday at-bat, Winker grounded out, fittingly to Adames.
