Virginia Man Charged With Murder of 19-Year-Old Man; Woman Also Found Dead at His Home

Police in Virginia are investigating two deaths at separate locations and have arrested a 33-year-old man for one of them.

Lynchburg Police said that they had charged 33-year-old Nathaniel Lee Pridemore with multiple counts, including murder, in the death of 19-year-old Cash Gaudio.

Gaudio was found with gunshot wounds and died of his injuries at Lynchburg General Hospital, police said. Pridemore was detained as a person of interest initially and was later charged.

Police said that investigators looking into the murder determined that a welfare check at Pridemore’s home was necessary, and there they found the body of a woman. No details have been provided about that death or the identity of the woman.

In addition to second degree murder, Pridemore was charged with use of a firearm, child endangerment, discharge of a firearm in the city, discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle, reckless handling, and convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He is being held without bond.

Investigators did not provide any information whatsoever about the child involved in the case except to say that the child “is safe and will soon be reunited with family.”

Investigators have also not provided further information about Gaudio’s death.
