Bell led the Reds to a 409-456 record over the course of six seasons at the helm, and they are currently fourth in the NL Central at 76-81.

It marked a step back from Cincinnati’s 82-80 campaign in 2023.

“David provided the kind of steadiness that we needed in our clubhouse over the last few seasons.” Reds general manager Nick Krall said in a statement. “We felt a change was needed to move the Major League team forward. We have not achieved the success we expected, and we need to begin focusing on 2025.”

Bell was hired in October 2018, and the Reds just gave him a contract extension last year.
