Preschool Teacher & Boyfriend Film Themselves Sexually Abusing Children

A Pennsylvania couple was arrested earlier this month for allegedly filming themselves sexually abusing children.

In June, state police were alerted to child pornography in a cloud storage device linked to Jamie Souders, 41. PennLive reported that the incidents occurred at Souders’ home, where he and Morgan Rothenhoefer, 24, abused boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 13.

Souders told authorities that they would find child pornography in his phone. A search of his phone uncovered photos — dating back to 2006 — showing young girls in sexually suggestive poses, according to WHP.

Authorities claimed they also recovered a video showing an 8-year-old girl being forced to perform sex acts on Rothenhoefer in an incident that involved a shotgun.

Pennlive reported that Rothenhoefer started her first year as a preschool teacher, but authorities have not linked her job to any of her crimes. Rothenhoefer said she has known Souders for 10 years, which would make her 14 when they met. However, Souders said he has known Rothenhoefer for 15 years — which would make her 9.

Rothenhoefer reportedly said they had a sexual relationship before abusing children together in March. Both Rothenhoefer and Souders claimed they were under the influence when the abuse occurred.

Souders was charged with child rape, aggravated indecent assault of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, permitting a child to be recorded performing sexual acts, child pornography, corruption of minors, and criminal use of a communications device.

Rothenhoefer was charged with child rape, aggravated indecent assault of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, permitting a child to be recorded performing sexual acts and corruption of minors.

Rothenhoefer and Soulders remain jailed without bond.
