I have a very different take than Jazz’s on what happened yesterday. I have no doubt that it was an assassination attempt against Trump, and I also have no doubt that the Routh was incited to violence by the outrageous rhetoric deployed against Trump.

There is lots of evidence coming out about Ryan Wesley Routh, who is obviously about as deranged as the average MSNBC viewer. But among those things is his support for Biden/Harris (he has a Biden/Harris bumper sticker), his obsession with Ukraine, and his hatred for Donald Trump.
Routh’s son Oran Routh told the DailyMail.com shortly after Sunday’s shooting that his father hates Trump as “every reasonable person does.”
“I don’t like Trump either,” he said.
Democrats and the media have spent nearly a decade demonizing Donald Trump, calling him Hitler, a threat to all things good and beautiful, and speculating about taking him out by any means necessary–including putting a bullet in him. Watch the video above if you doubt me. Or this one:

They push a series of hoaxes–the latest being the “bloodbath” hoax that makes it sound like Trump is calling for a civil war after the voting ends. He is an “existential threat,” we are told. Is it any wonder that the more deranged part of their party believes them after nearly a decade of brainwashing?

Only Routh is responsible for walking up to that fence and taking aim at Donald Trump, but the radical, violent rhetoric of the left is pushing the MSNBC wing of the party into a frenzy of hate and fear. And, as I will write later today, lots of liberals seem more unhappy that he failed than that he was trying to kill Trump.
Even after this latest assassination attempt, many on the left are blaming TRUMP for getting shot at and being a target of hate. It is Trump’s rhetoric that caused this, not the unending spewing of hate directed at him and his supporters.

Does a substantial wing of the Democrat Party want Trump dead? It sure seems so.
Is there a plan to make it happen? I doubt it, other than keeping the rhetorical temperatures as hot as possible and hoping that one of the more deranged MSNBC wingnuts do the dirty deed.
