Grohl has plenty of stories regarding his life as a rock star. However, when it comes to his personal life, he and his wife of 20 years, Jordyn Blum, keep their marriage relatively private. Grohl and the former model, producer, and director tied the knot in 2003 and have three daughters together. Blum often makes public appearances with Grohl, and they appear to have had a loving and successful marriage through the years.
In a 2007 interview with Elle, Grohl admitted that he wasn’t ready for a “serious relationship” when he met Blum.
“Gee whiz. When I first met my wife, we went out on a few dates, and I decided that I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling,” he said. “After three months, I had a revelation and called her back. She picked up the phone and said, ‘Oh, I never thought I’d hear from you again.’”
In an interview with Q Magazine, Grohl explained how he met Blum at a bar in 2001. He didn’t think he had a chance with her because of her beauty. “And by the end of the night, I was pissed, and I’m staring at her going, ‘You’re my future ex-wife,’” he said. “So she gave me her number: ‘Jordyn, your future ex-wife.’ We saw each other a few times.”

“I was 25, my wife was even younger,” Grohl said in 1999, according to NME. “We weren’t ready to get married. I miss her a ton; she’s the funniest godd*** weirdo you ever met in your life. Absolutely adorable. It would have been better had we not got married. But you live and you learn.”

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” he wrote. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved as we move forward together.”
