Andy Cohen Tells Ryan Seacrest How He Really Feels About Him Replacing Pat Sajak On ‘Wheel Of Fortune’

No one is more jealous of Ryan Seacrest‘s new gig on Wheel of Fortune than Andy Cohen.

On Tuesday night’s (Sept. 10) episode of Watch What Happens Live, Seacrest and Wheel of Fortune veteran Vanna White stopped by the Bravo Clubhouse to promote the game show’s highly anticipated new season, which finds Seacrest replacing a recently retired Pat Sajak as host.

“I am so jealous,” Cohen admitted at the top of the broadcast, to which Seacrest replied, “You sent me a note last night! Yesterday, he sent me a text [saying], ‘I’m so jealous. Can’t wait to see you. Hugs.’”

Cohen then turned his attention to White, adding, “Yes, I am so jealous he gets to host this show with you. I mean, wow!” He also said he heard that Wheel of Fortune is a “deceptively hard show to host.”

While Seacrest told the room that he is “comfortable” with the job, he confirmed that he did have to learn some of the rules.

“It’s a show we’re familiar with because we’ve all been fans of it all of our lives and grew up watching it,” he said. “Working with Vanna makes it so wonderful and comfortable for me. But it is familiar but you do have to learn the nuances of the different things that can happen with the rules.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Cohen and Seacrest also addressed their past feud — which started in 2021 when an inebriated Cohen shaded the American Idol host and his “group of losers” working for ABC’s New Year’s Eve broadcast while he was hosting CNN’s broadcast. Seacrest later claimed that Cohen “did not turn around” to acknowledge him at the 2022 festivities.

“I don’t even remember what the feud was about, I think. But we did see each other — we did wave this year,” Cohen said, to which Seacrest responded, “We did do all of that. I just said, ‘Are you gonna be there this year?’ We will be. We will wave. We can’t get to each other or we’d hug.”

The duo both agreed that the “beef has been squashed.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
