Workplace Relations Minister Murray Watt has received serious threats by people connected to CFMEU, sources close to him have told 9news.

The threats were so serious police were stationed outside Watt’s home today.

The government recently passed legislation to force the union into administration following allegations aired by 60 Minutes and Nine newspapers that criminal figures had infiltrated the union.

Further allegations of corruption and intimidation follow the troubled union.

The appointed administrator has warned the issues within CFMEU are worse than what has been made public.
