VANESSA Williams has surprised fans by taking a holiday in Plymouth.
The actress, who is starring in the new The Devil Wears Prada musical, enjoyed some downtime in the city before returning to the US.

She made the most of her time off by exploring local attractions and experiencing the area as a tourist.
Sharing a hilarious TikTok of herself walking alongside the beach, she told the camera: “So I’ve heard back in the States it’s a ‘brat summer,’ but here in Plymouth, it’s a ‘h*e summer.'”
Fans were stunned to see Vanessa in the city, with one user commenting, “Imagine just strolling through Plymouth and running into THIS QUEEN! I would die!”

Earlier this year Vanessa announced that she would be starring in Elton John’s The Devil Wears Prada West End adaption as Miranda Priestly.
The role was originally played by Meryl Streep in the 2006 movie, which also starred Anne Hathaway as Miranda’s assistant Andrea ‘Andy’ Sachs.
The show runs from July to October in the UK, kicking off at Plymouth Theatre before arriving at London’s Dominion Theatre.
Vanessa shot to fame after being crowned Miss America in the late 80s.
She went on to release her biggest hit, Save The Best For Last, in 1991, before performing on Broadway and as Wilhelmina Slater in TV show Ugly Betty, which aired in 2006.
Her platinum single Colors of the Wind from Disney’s Pocahontas won the Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe for Best Original Song in 1995.
Throughout her career, the star has been in a number of Broadway shows including a Tony-nominated performance in Into the Woods in 2002 and Horton Foote’s in 2013.
She has also enjoyed a TV career with roles in Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives.
