Thousands of Aussies have been rocked by yet another earthquake.

The magnitude three earthquake hit Victoria’s Gippsland region at 7.45pm on Monday night.

The epicentre at Sandy Point near Wilsons Promontory and was likely felt in Foster, Inverloch and Leongatha.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of about 10km. 

Earthquakes at shallow depths are felt more strongly that deeper ones, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). 

Geoscience Australia recorded 70 reports of the earthquake in less than hour.

It comes three weeks after 4.1 magnitude quake rattled Victoria’s high country on August 7.

Victorians needing SES assistance should ring 132 500.
