LIAM Gallagher dedicated the Oasis song Half the World Away to his brother Noel at the Reading Festival, after the news that the biggest band in Britpop could be set to reunite next year.

Introducing the song Half the World Away he told the crowds, “I wanna dedicate this song to Noel F******G Gallagher.”

The track which was written by Noel, Oasis’s lead guitarist and songwriter, from whom Liam has been estranged since 2009, was the final single on the 1994 breakthrough album.

Now, according to reports in the Sunday Times over the weekend, Wembley Stadium is booked for 10 nights next year, trumping Taylor Swifts eight gig record set earlier this month.

When the Times tweeted the news, lead singer Liam appeared to confirm the reports on the social media site, by replying to a follower by saying, “See you down the front.”

Indeed rumours are already swirling that Oasis will also be lured back to be the headline slot on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury in 2025.

No doubt fans will go wild for the brothers who have not appeared on stage together since 2009, after their spectacular fallout backstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

Frontman Liam was said to have damaged one of Noels guitars which forced Noel to dramatically quit the band, ending the dynamic partnership hat had propelled them to worldwide fame and adoration.

In a statement Noel said at the time. “It is with some sadness and great relief, I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply couldn’t go on working with Liam a day longer.”

Changing their name to High Flying Birds,  the remaining band members have continued to perform together and Liam has enjoyed considerable success with his own band Beady Eye.

He also has his own clothing label, Pretty Green which channels his distinct 90s mod style that has since been widely copied.

As fans await an official announcement which is now thought to be imminent, insiders predict that the Mancunian brothers could be set to pocket 50 million each if the reunion does go ahead.

Now it’s looking more than Definitely Maybe.
