Disturbing footage obtained by Nine News shows a group of males dressed in black wearing hoodies and face coverings armed with what appear to be machetes.

It’s believed the group fled the scene in a black Honda sedan following the stabbing.

Police cordoned off the street on Thursday afternoon as forensic officers scoured the scene for evidence.

The incident shocked residents in the street, who were ordered by police to stay indoors.
