A pregnant newlywed went missing from the U.S. Army barracks she called home late last month in Hawaii. Now, her soldier husband has been arrested in connection with her disappearance.

Mischa Mabeline Kaalohilani Johnson, 19, was last seen on the night of July 31, inside her home on the Schofield Barracks in Oahu, according to the Army Criminal Investigation Division. She was reported missing the very next day, on Aug. 1.

On Monday, her 28-year-old husband was arrested.

“[A]n individual has been placed into military custody in the Mischa Johnson missing person case,” the Army’s 25th Infantry Division said in an updated press release about the case earlier this week. “Mischa Johnson’s husband, Private First Class Dewayne Arthur Johnson II, is currently in military pretrial confinement in Hawaii.”
