Jessica Rapsys

Police in Florida are seeking public help to locate a 27-year-old Jacksonville woman who has not been seen in days.

According to the Allendale County Sheriff’s Office, Jessica Rapsys’ car was discovered Tuesday at around 9:15 p.m., stuck on the railroad tracks in the Martin community of South Carolina.

Allendale County Sheriff James Freeman said the vehicle was still warm but had been there for some time. According to People Sentinel, her cell phone was found nearby.

Freeman told NewsChannel 6 that the tracks where Rapsys’ car was found are on private property at Creek Plantation.

On Wednesday, police used three helicopters and a local dog team in the search. The helicopters conducted an aerial survey of the area around the vehicle for five and a half hours.

“The vehicle was stuck on the railroad tracks. We notified CSX, the railroad company, to halt all the trains coming through that area, “Allendale County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Steven Robinson told Fox News Digital,

Police added that Rapsys’ car “had no one in or around it.”

Rapsys is described as a white female who stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall. She has blonde hair and brown eyes.

“We have very little details as far as who, what, when, where and how,” Robinson said.

“We do need the public’s assistance. We located her vehicle out on Creek Plantation. We requested Hampton’s bloodhounds, they responded and did get a track but they were unable to locate anything. The SLED tracking team came down with the same results.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Allendale County Sheriff’s Office at (803) 584-7067 or leave a tip with SLED through Crimestoppers at You can also call 1-888-CRIMESC (1-888-274-6372).
