Noughties rap duo drop huge hint they have reunited and are releasing new music nine years after split

HIT noughties band Rizzle Kicks have dropped a hint they have reunited – nine years after they split up.

The duo – Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule – returned to their joint social media page this weekend and shared a telling picture.

The snap shows Harley holding a blank piece of paper with an emoji of eyes and a sand timer.

Today they changed their profile picture to four fingers in the air – suggesting some kind of countdown.

The move sent fans wild with one person writing: “It’s a countdown oh my god.”

A second said: “Oh my god it’s happening.”

While a third added: “Please say you’re coming back.”

Rizzle Kicks shot to fame in the late noughties after their debut album Stereo Typical.

Between 2011 and 2013, the band was a huge success with hits like Down With the Trumpets and Mama Do The Hump.

They had several chart-topping songs, including a collaboration with Olly Murs’ Heart Skips a Beat, which reached number one.

But in 2015 the pop stars went their ways after they released their last song, a cover of Summertime by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince.

Following this, both members pursued acting careers and solo music ventures.

The pair had shows planned for a tour together in 2016, but Jordan took to X ahead of the events to announce they had decided to cancel.

Despite promises to return to the music scene in 2017, the pair seemed to just vanish without further details.

Rizzle Kicks have now spoken about why they decided to split almost a decade ago.

Speaking on a podcast recently, Harley said: “We were both, very much not in a position to be popstars at that time.”

Jordan added: “But yeah, we took a break because I was doing loads of drugs.

“I had crippling anxiety.”

During the band’s break Jordan has become well known as a TV star, most recently appearing on Love Island Aftersun as a regular host and Big Brother late and live.
