A Kentucky man allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl while out on bond for a 2022 sexual abuse case.
According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, William Young, 25, was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree rape and kidnapping of a minor.
The incident occurred in June when Young allegedly contacted a 15-year-old girl via Snapchat using the account “Ace3Gatti.” Court documents stated that he used location settings to track down the victim’s home.
Once the teen got into Young’s vehicle, he allegedly raped her. Although the girl informed Young that she was only 15, he proceeded with the assault, court documents obtained by the Lexington stated.
Young denied messaging and raping the minor, but his vehicle was identified by Flock license plate cameras in the area, and at the time the incident was reported.
A month later, the girl informed the Child Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass that she suspected Young had reached out to her through a different Snapchat account, and made threats of killing and raping her.
Young is currently being investigated for allegedly communicating with three minors via Snapchat and masturbating in front of them. Young is accused of having sexual intercourse with at least one of the victims.
Police investigated the Snapchat account “Ace3Gatti,” and confirmed that it was Young’s account.
In 2022, Young was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of second-degree unlawful imprisonment against two 15-year-old minor girls.
He’s scheduled to appear in Fayette Circuit Court on August 23 for a status hearing concerning the 2022 case.
