Organisers of Harvest Rock Music Festival have announced the 2024 edition of the festival will not go ahead.

The event’s organisers broke the news in a statement this afternoon, saying the decision to cancel the event was a difficult one.

“We’ve been working hard to make Harvest Rock III another incredible event, however we have made the difficult decision to not hold the festival in 2024,” they wrote.

“We appreciate the ongoing support of the South Australian Government and we look forward to Harvest Rock in the future.

“For our dedicated fans who bought early tickets in 2023 you will automatically be refunded through the original point of purchase within 14 days.”

Last year’s festival brought major international acts to Rymill and King Rodney Parks in Adelaide including Jamiroquai, Beck, Nile Rodgers and Chet Faker.

People who attended the Spilt Milk festival in Canberra last weekend have been asked to monitor for symptoms of meningococcal.

No line-up for 2024 had been announced by the organisers.

Harvest Rock is the latest festival to be axed as costs of touring and holding a festival mount.

So far this year, major festivals including Splendour in the Grass and Spilt Milk have called it quits.
