Anthony Albanese has weighed in on a tuckshop dispute at a Perth primary school that has seen a young boy banned from ordering from the canteen.
Hocking Primary School’s P&C handed out the punishment after the student’s mum complained about food service over a missed lunch order.

Natalie Durer now admits her comments were out of line.

“I am furious with the utter incompetence you continue to display, you need to get a new career as you are way too stupid,” she wrote in an email to the canteen last year.

“It was not a nice email,” Durer told 9News.

“I did say some pretty inflammatory stuff.”

Her son has since been banned from the canteen, despite Durer sending a written apology.

“I just really want to feel like normal with everybody else being able to order from the canteen,” Jaxon Durer Sparks said.

Asked about the dispute today, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese took the side of the child and his mother.

“Oh give the kid some lunch,” Albanese said.

“A bit of common sense should apply here and I’m sure that it will”

Jaxon and his mum say they tried to order his lunch through a friend but when the school found out the other boy’s mother was also warned about a potential canteen ban.

“They are punishing my son for my actions and that’s wrong,” Durer said.

The Education Department says it can’t direct the P&C but is working with them to reach a positive resolution.

The parents’ group is yet to respond to requests from Nine News for comment.
