The local man called the police after recording the two boys drawing on the walls.

When police arrived, he sprung into action to help the officers.

“I got out of the car and thought I’d try and help. I came from the other side to try and get around the boys so they weren’t able to easily escape,” the Dee Why local told 9News.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the scene and has since been released.

While 9News was at the scene, one of the accused teenagers returned to take photos of the wall.

Charges are expected to be laid.
