Kodai Senga was placed on the 15-day injured list with a left calf strain, the Mets announced Saturday.
Senga, 31, hurt his left calf on Friday as he raced off the mound after an Austin Riley pop-up and fell.
The right-hander was making his first start of the season after being sidelined since the spring with a right shoulder sprain.

He was scheduled to undergo an MRI exam on Saturday to determine the extent of the injury, but Senga figures to be out for a while.
Tylor Megill, already scheduled to start Saturday against the Braves at Citi Field, was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to take Senga’s spot on the roster.
There was initially some doubt about how long Megill would stay in the rotation in place of Christian Scott- on the IL with a strained UCL — but they may need the right-hander indefinitely with both injuries.

The Mets also activated right-hander Ryne Stanek, acquired in a trade from the Mariners on Friday, and optioned Eric Orze to Triple-A.
