2024 Olympics opening ceremony live updates: Highlights, news from Paris

The 2024 Olympics have officially begun in Paris.

The Opening Ceremony will start at 1:30 PM ET on Friday and the ground-breaking event will have athletes arrive in boats via the controversial Seine River.

By the end of the ceremony, the Olympic flame will be lit.

LeBron James and Coco Gauff will be the flag bearers for the USA.

The opening ceremony will air live on NBC and stream on Peacock.
