RNC releases video ad ahead of convention tying Kamala Harris to border crisis

WISCONSIN — Vice President Kamala Harris’ performance at the border is no laughing matter.

A new ad by the Republican National Convention tears into  Harris over her role in the Biden administration’s abysmal effort to address the border crisis.

“If you ever wondered how Joe Biden could get the border so screwed up, remember, he had help,” begins the ad — which is interspersed with the veep’s trademark cackling and which The Post viewed exclusively ahead of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Monday.

The clip rattles off the series of grave missteps by President Biden to secure the southern border, including his decision to tap Harris as his administration’s “Border Czar.”

The video goes on to highlight her bizarre NBC News interview, where Harris compared her failure to visit the southern border to the fact she also hasn’t visited Europe.

It also slammed her for her time as the San Francisco District Attorney, where created a program allowing illegal immigrant drug dealers to train for jobs they couldn’t legally hold.

“This video reminds Americans that standing right next to weak and failing Joe Biden has been his cackling co-pilot Kamala,” RNC senior adviser Brian Hughes told The Post.

“As Biden’s ‘Border Czar’ Harris has continued her long history of making our communities less safe.”
Border crossings reached record highs in the last year, with almost 250,000 border crossing incidents in December 2023.

The new attack ad on the veep comes amid in-fighting among Democrats over whether Biden should remain at the top of the presidential ticket this fall following his disastrous presidential debate performance and subsequent media gaffes.
