A youth ATV model, made for 10-year-olds, has been recalled by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission due to safety concerns.

The CFMOTO Youth All Terrain Vehicle models MY2022 CF110AY in Baja Blue and Red Rocket have been recalled due to an issue with the throttle.

“The throttle limiting adjustment screw may be improperly adjusted, which may cause the throttle to become stuck open and cause the vehicle to accelerate without throttle input,” The ACCC said.

The recommended age for using the ATV by CFMOTO is 10 years old, according to their website.

There is a risk of serious injury or death if the rider loses control of the vehicle, or is unable to stop the vehicle.

The product was sold nationally at authorised CFMOTO dealers between January 1 2022 and December 31 2022.

Consumers should stop using the product immediately and contact their nearest dealer for a free replacement of the impacted part.
