This royal is sporting yet another winning look.
Prince Harry was honored with the Pat Tillman Award for Service at ESPN’s 2024 ESPY Awards Thursday night, and his proud wife, Meghan Markle, was on hand to support him — and make a stylish statement.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, wore aa classic black suit with a matching black tie.
The event was hosted by Markle’s close friend, Serena Williams.
The Duke of Sussex was recognized with this year’s Pat Tillman Award for his involvement with the Invictus Games, a multi-sport event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, but the royal’s proud moment hasn’t come without controversy.
The award is named in honor of the late Arizona Cardinals player and Army soldier who was killed in Afghanistan in 2004, and some, including Tillman’s mother, Mary, have questioned recognizing Prince Harry.
“I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award,” Mary told the Daily Mail.
However, ESPN doubled down on its choice, telling Page Six, “While we understand not everyone will agree with all honorees selected for any award, The Invictus Games Foundation does incredible work and ESPN believes this is a cause worth celebrating.”
The Sussexes have kept a low profile since their recent trip to Nigeria, when Markle wore an array of summery looks, including an aptly named “Windsor” dress by Heidi Merrick.
And while there haven’t been any updates about when Markle’s lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, will launch, her new Netflix cooking show is said to have wrapped filming.
Controversy aside, this stylish couple always knows how to get people talking.
