Tennis great Serena Williams met Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian while having breakfast with friends at the Cavalieri Hotel in Rome in 2015. Williams ended up inviting Ohanian to sit at her table where they chatted for a while and she gave him her number. They had their first date right before she played in the French Open and walked around the streets of Paris together.
Two years later, the pair tied the knot in a lavish Disney-themed wedding at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans.

Ohanian was born in the Brooklyn borough of New York City on April 24, 1983. He co-founded the social media platform Reddit with Steve Huffman and Aaron Swartz in 2005, and served as executive chairman of the site. One year later, they sold Reddit to Conde Nast. While the exact sale price was not disclosed, it’s believed to have been between $10 and $20 million.
Williams was born in Saginaw, Michigan on Sept. 26, 1981, making her one year and six months older than Ohanian. When she was a child, Williams’ family moved to Compton, California but later relocated to West Palm Beach in Florida so she and her sister, Venus, could attend the tennis academy of Rick Macci.
