’90 Day Fiance: The Other Way’ is back for a new season, with several new couples. Fans were quick to zero in on Corona and Ingi as the couple with the biggest hurdles to overcome.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is back for its sixth season, and it promises to be just as dramatic as previous iterations of the controversial reality TV series. While we are just one episode into the new season, fans of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way have already zeroed in on Corona and Ingi as a couple with many red flags. While the long-distance duo insist they are in love, fans can’t help but notice the problems in their hurried courtship. We’ve collected the couple’s biggest issues so far.
Corona left an entire career path behind
Corona and Ingi met at a party in Iceland. Since then, they’ve only spent a handful of days together, and he’s never visited her in the United States. While they’ve connected plenty through technology, their actual relationship is fresh. Still, Corona is willing to bet on Ingi and leave behind her dreams for the unknown in Iceland.
Corona revealed that she had a dream spot in a graduate program that she willingly walked away from to focus on Ingi. Sure, plenty of 90 Day Fiancé cast members have left their careers behind for love, but something feels different for Corona and Ingi. It feels like she is closing the door on her dream career to follow Ingi. Fans are utterly convinced the tradeoff is not worth it.
Ingi has no relationship experience
Despite being 38 years old, Ingi has never had a serious relationship. While there is nothing wrong with focusing on something other than romance, his utter lack of relationship experience is absolutely a red flag in this scenario. He has never even dated anyone long-term, so how is he going to acclimate to having a partner move across the world for him? Presumably, not well.
Corona is so blinded by her interest in Ingi that she refuses to acknowledge his lack of experience. She hasn’t accepted that it could seriously affect their romance. Her family is far more wary of Ingi than her, which certainly feels troublesome.
Corona seems way more invested in the relationship than Ingi
Reddit fans were quick to point out that while Corona appears all-in on her relationship with Ingi, he’s done absolutely nothing to progress the relationship forward. In fact, they point out that Ingi seems entirely indifferent to Corona. Ingi hasn’t made a single first move in their short-lived relationship. It doesn’t seem like he even actively invited his sort-of girlfriend to move to Iceland to be with him.
While Corona seems fine with taking the lead right now, it’s hard to imagine she will be happy with continuously being the one to make the relationship inch forward. It seems unlikely that Ingi and Corona are going to last long.
