Valerie Bertinelli and her boyfriend, Mike Goodnough, adorably attempted to hop on a “cool kids” trend with a glamorous transformation video.
The “Indulge” author and her plus one took to Instagram Saturday to share a clip of their before and after for the 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards.
The video — which was set to Queen’s 1981 track “Under Pressure” — started with the duo anxiously looking at each other while wearing casual clothes.
Bertinelli, 63, and Goodnough, 53, giggled while attempting to count down and jump simultaneously to show their transformation into formal wear.
After a few failed attempts, they finally got it right, with the TV personality stunning in a white blazer and trousers while her beau sported a black suit paired with sneakers.
The couple were all smiles as they linked arms and walked off camera as Goodnough quipped, “I can never direct.”
“Sooo … tried to make one of those newfangled transition videos like the cool kids,” Bertinelli captioned the clip. “It went … well … like this 🤣😂. (we’ll never be the cool kids).”
On Friday, the celebrity chef and her man made their red carpet debut at the Daytime Emmys, where she was nominated for outstanding culinary host for her Food Network series “Valerie’s Home Cooking.”
The show, which aired for 14 seasons until 2023, was also up for outstanding culinary series.
“There’s very little better than seeing somebody you love get the recognition, get the roses,” Goodnough told People at the awards show.
In April, the two took their romance Instagram-official when Bertinelli posted a photo with the writer paired with Taylor Swift’s track “So High School” from her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
“🎶 I’ll drink what you think and I’m high from smokin’ your jokes all damn night 🎶,” she captioned the post.
The previous month, the “One Day at a Time” alum teased her relationship with a “special” someone, revealing that the connection was unexpected.
“I’ve met someone. And I’m incredibly grateful for him. It’s unlike any relationship that I’ve ever experienced with a man,” she told USA Today in March.
“I don’t want to say too much, but I feel incredibly blessed and lucky to have met him because I wasn’t expecting it.”
The actress was previously married to Tom Vitale from 2011 to 2022 and Eddie Van Halen from 1981 to 2007.
