The Canadian singer-songwriter regularly keeps fans updated with her home life away from the cameras.

She’s shared snaps of her adorable cats and her Toronto condo, which overlooks stunning beach views.

Alannah also posted photos of her recently, as she rocked a sleek black wig and flawless skin.

The star now enjoys a quieter life but is still making music and tours.

She previously told the Toronto Star: “I moved around for about six months; one of the places offered to me by my real estate agent was this high-security building, so I jumped at it.”

The busy songstress juggles a variety of projects, including a blues and opera album.

But it’s not all been smooth sailing, as the star previously spoke about her autoimmune disease called ankylosing spondylitis – which was a result of a chiropractic injury suffered in her 40s.

“Now I have issues with being able to sit. That’s why when you see me in concert, you see me on a chair. I’m sitting upright. It’s painful for me to sit down, so I can’t really go anywhere,” Myles explained.

“I can’t sit in a wheelchair. I can’t go to a concert, party, or even medical visits without a padded stretcher.

“I have no life now as a result of not being able to get myself up independently which makes it only worse… I can get up to walk, but I need help doing it,” she told CityNews.

She went on: “I’ve felt guilty that I’ve been in my bed saying nothing for five years, waiting for someone to produce some kind of results in my life, and nobody is…”

Arguably her most successful hit was Black Velvet – written by David Tyson and Christopher Ward.

It was released as a single in 1989, hitting mainstream rock charts by 1990.

But her relationship with her record label, Atlantic Records, did not come without its problems and she cut ties with them 1997.

She previously spoke about being “up to my eyeballs” in debt just 10 years ago.

Unfortunately, she was unable to re-cut her first album for 12 years due to a clause on her contract.

But as soon as that period expired, the star said: “So, in about 12 years and 13 minutes, I recut the song.

The pop star signed up all her music videos with VEVO on YouTube and admitted she was finally making some money.
